Job Description

Inspired Flight is looking for a self-motivated Accountant to join our finance team. In this role, you’ll play an important part in our company’s financial operations, ensuring accuracy in accounting and compliance with the law. This person will help make financial decisions by collecting, tracking, correcting, and communicating the finance position of the company.

This role will work in close collaboration with all departments and will report directly to the Finance Manager, making this a prime opportunity for someone who thrives in a startup environment.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $70,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year

Typical responsibilities:

• Month-end review, reconciliation of accounts, and close of the books
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather data and insights.
• Provide recommendations to management based on financial analysis.
• Assist in the preparation of presentations for stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards.
• Support ad-hoc financial projects
• Drive process improvements and automation initiatives to streamline financial operations.
• Support fundraising efforts and investor relations activities
• Assist in data management and governance across various systems and departments
• Build, manage, and update financial models

You’ll excel in this role if:

• You have expert-level knowledge and understanding of ERPs and other Systems
• You possess excellent quantitative and analytical skills, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.
• You are detail-oriented and have a high degree of accuracy in your work, ensuring the integrity of financial information.
• You are a proactive problem-solver, able to anticipate challenges and develop creative solutions to address them.
• You thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment and are comfortable working independently as well as collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

Education/Experience Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or equivalent discipline is required or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
• 3-5 Years of experience
• Experience preferably in manufacturing industry

Location:

This is an in-office position for hire at Inspired Flight’s HQ in San Luis Obispo, CA.
