RedTail provides their customers with rugged dependable LiDAR sensors that are easy to use, produce high-quality point clouds, are accurately georeferenced and have very high point density as compared to other small LiDAR systems.

RTL-450

The RTL-450 is the system of choice for military and government customers, is fully compliant with NDAA 848 requirements, and has undergone safety reviews by both the U.S. Army Public Health Center and the Army Test and Evaluation Center. The underlying microelectromechanical systems (MEMS) mirror technology used in the RTL-450 was designed and developed by the Army Research Laboratory, Adelphi, MD. Systems have been operationally deployed within DoD as a 3D tactical imaging system.

The superior resolution provided by the RTL-450 allows operators to perform enhanced data analytics and supports integration of advanced Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning (AI/ML) algorithms for target detection and classification to provide next-level autonomy at the edge. The RTL-450 transmits all laser pulses to the ground to optimize point cloud density and those points are evenly spaced to provide 3D images that are unsurpassed in their clarity.
